Jan. 23th – March 24th, 2013

This is Daniela Libertad’s second solo show in Mexico. The exhibition is based on the concept of the offering (ofrenda), conceived by the artist as “a space of possible communication and negotiation between two presences, visible or not visible.”The videos, drawings and photographies in the exhibition were made by Libertad to be offered to relevant people in her life, ancestors and some deities of theYoruba religion (Obatalá, Oshún, among others). From these rituals and offerings invented by her and built from different actions, sounds, objects and moving images, Daniela Libertad continues to explore the constant concern of her work: that of linking and cross the gap between these entities.
